Information Technology Training  

STS provides a learning opportunities for faculty, staff and students.  For faculty and staff, STS facilitates campus technology training workshops, including Technology for New Hires, Microsoft Office, Qualtrics, Smartsheet, and Banner. For students, classes and consultations are available through the Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC).

Instructional Technology Training 

The Instructional Technology and Design team offers instructional technology training for faculty and students. Courses are available in multiple formats, from informational seminars to hands-on multimedia workshops. Topics include using Moodle, developing online/blended courses, administering online surveys and assessments, integrating multimedia, and special interest topics. Click here to see the schedule.

Online Video Training Library (Lynda.com)

Lynda.com is an online training library with over 3,600 courses, and is free to Spelman College faculty, staff, and students.

Hardware & Software Procurement

STS manages the purchase of IT-related items in collaboration with the purchasing department, which has the final responsibility and authority for vendor selection and all purchasing decisions.
